Stadt ordnet Tempo 30 auf Abschnitt der Naumburger Straße an
Um die Lärmbelastung zu reduzieren, ordnet die Stadt jetzt auf einem Abschnitt der Naumburger Straße in Plagwitz Tempo 30 als zulässige Höchstgeschwindigkeit an. Der Bereich zwischen Engertstraße und Gießerstraße wird in der Woche ab Montag, 1. Dezember, entsprechend ausgeschildert. Dies kostet insgesamt rund 3.100 Euro und geht auf die dritte Fortschreibung des Lärmaktionsplans zurück.
Der Straßenabschnitt gilt als ausgewiesener Lärmbrennpunkt: Hier liegt die Belastung über den sogenannten Auslösewerten von 65 Dezibel tags und 55 Dezibel nachts. Ziel der Lärmaktionsplanung ist es, Umgebungslärm zu vermindern und zu vermeiden, insbesondere, wo die Geräuschbelastung gesundheitsschädliche Auswirkungen hat. Eine Geschwindigkeitsreduzierung ist ein Weg, die Lärmwerte unter die entsprechenden Grenzwerte zu drücken.
Das Tempolimit erhöht zudem die Verkehrssicherheit: Durch die geringere Geschwindigkeit wird das Unfallrisiko reduziert, insbesondere für Schüler, Fußgängerinnen und Radfahrer.
