Medieninformation
Ufer des Elstermühlgrabens wird gestaltet
Im bereits 2006 fertiggestellten Bauabschnitt 1 des Elstermühlgrabens am Ranstädter Steinweg wird ab Montag, 12. Januar, das Ufer erneuert. Auf der gesamten Länge von 430 Meter vom Naturkundemuseum bis zur Thomasiusstraße werden bis Juli dieses Jahres sogenannte begrünte Uferbermen gestaltet, die dem Gewässer einen naturnahen Verlauf geben sollen.
Darüber hinaus wird im Bereich des Lautensteges ein über Treppen begehbarer Zugang zum Wasser geschaffen. Durch die ökologische Aufwertung des Gewässers wird die Wasserrahmenrichtlinie umgesetzt. Mit größeren Verkehrseinschränkungen ist während der Baumaßnahme nicht zu rechnen. Aktuelle Informationen dazu gibt es auf www.leipzig.de/elstermuehlgraben.
Parallel wird mit dem Teilbauabschnitt 3.2 zwischen Elsterstraße und Lessingstraße die Offenlegung des Elstermühlgrabens komplett fertiggestellt. Der geplanten vollständigen Wiederöffnung des Gewässers im Juli 2026 steht damit nichts mehr im Wege. +++
