Dach des alten Naturkundemuseums muss erneuert werden
Am 15. September beginnen am Gebäude des Naturkundemuseums Leipzig in der Lortzingstraße Arbeiten zur Sicherung des Daches. Die bestehende Dacheindeckung weist nach vielen Jahrzehnten erhebliche Verschleißspuren auf und wird daher erneuert. Damit soll das Gebäude, das wertvolle Exponate beherbergt, bis zum Umzug des Museums in den Neubau im Bowlingtreff weiterhin sicher genutzt werden können.
Für die Baumaßnahme ist eine vollständige Einrüstung des Gebäudes erforderlich. Der Museumsbetrieb bleibt jedoch ohne Einschränkungen geöffnet. Besucherinnen und Besucher können die Ausstellungen weiterhin wie gewohnt zu den bekannten Öffnungszeiten erleben. Die Arbeiten sollen bis zum Jahresende 2025 abgeschlossen sein. Die Kosten betragen voraussichtlich rund 150.000 Euro und werden aus dem Haushalt des Kulturamtes bereitgestellt.
Die Vorbereitungen für den Umbau des ehemaligen Bowlingtreffs zum neuen Standort des Naturkundemuseums laufen unabhängig davon planmäßig weiter.
