Grüner Pfeil an der Ampel Kurt-Eisner-Straße/August-Bebel-Straße wird entfernt
Um die Verkehrssicherheit zu erhöhen, wird am Montag, 8. Dezember, ein Grünpfeil an der Kreuzung Kurt-Eisner-Straße/August-Bebel-Straße abmontiert. In der Kurt-Eisner-Straße stadtauswärts hatte es in den vergangenen drei Jahren immer wieder Verkehrsunfälle zwischen bei Rot abbiegenden Autos und anderen Verkehrsteilnehmern gegeben, bei denen Menschen verletzt wurden.
Der Grüne Pfeil wird daher entfernt. Rechtliche Grundlage hierfür ist die Verwaltungsvorschrift zur Straßenverkehrsordnung § 37. In einer Übergangsphase von vier Wochen weist ein Schild Autofahrerinnen noch darauf hin, dass der Grünpfeil entfernt wurde.
Der Grüne Pfeil ist ein Zusatzzeichen an Ampelanlagen, das die Wartezeit für Rechtsabbieger in bestimmten Verkehrssituationen verkürzen soll.
