Jugendsinfonieorchester startet Sommerkonzertreise
Das Jugendsinfonieorchester der Leipziger Musikschule startet zum Beginn der Ferien zur Sommerkonzertreise in die Benelux-Länder. Auf dem Plan stehen ab Samstag Konzerte in Gent, Maastricht und Luxembourg. Das Programm ist dabei sommerlich-abwechslungsreich: Es reicht von Beethovens Sinfonie Nr. 1 über Wagners Vorspiel zu den „Meistersingern“ bis zu „Hoe Down“, einem Westernstück von Aaron Copland.
Insgesamt treten 67 junge Musikerinnen und Musiker die Konzertreise an, begleitet von einem zehnköpfigen Betreuerteam. Dirigiert wird das Orchester von Alban Matthiaß. +++
