Haarverlust durch Alopecia: Eltern von betroffenen Kindern gründen eine Selbsthilfegruppe
Bei den Alopecia-Erkrankungen fallen die Haare aus. Das kann bis zum totalen Haarverlust führen. Die Ursachen sind verschieden. Der sichtbare Haarverlust kann das Selbstbild von Kindern und Jugendlichen stark beeinträchtigen, besonders in der Pubertät. Die neue Eltern-Selbsthilfegruppe wird die Sorgen der Familien und Themen, wie Versorgung, Diagnostik und Therapie der Alopecia, aufgreifen.
Kinder und Jugendliche mit Alopecia werden oft gehänselt oder ausgegrenzt, weil sie „anders“ aussehen. Sie ziehen sich sozial zurück, vermeiden Gruppenaktivitäten oder das Zeigen ihres Kopfes. Sie sollen unterstützt werden, damit sie mit den Folgeproblemen gut umgehen können und selbstbewusst bleiben. Geplant sind zudem Aktivitäten, die Eltern und Kindern wieder Freude am Leben vermitteln.
